WHAT WE TEACH
We have experience designing curriculums at national level, in addition to Head of Department and Head of Key Stage backgrounds in school which underwent Ofsted regulation. Within alternative settings, we have also been responsible for designing and delivering curriculums that are flexible to wider needs and learning, including Functional skills, KS3, GCSEs and A levels.
By choosing South West Learning, you are ensuring learning is robustly designed and research informed. Such structure also enables personalisation, combining academic rigour with the flexibility and care that our students need to thrive.

Our Curriculum

1
Our Intent:
Purposeful real outcomes
Every learning experience starts with clear goals focused on what each student should know, understand, and be able to do. Our curriculum aligns with our vision: to equip young people with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to succeed academically and personally.
We tailor learning to the interests and aspirations of each learner, ensuring relevance to real-world opportunities. We have successful outcomes as evidenced on our outcomes page.
2
Our Implementation:
Progressive yet adaptable
Our curriculum is carefully sequenced so that knowledge and skills build logically over time. We connect learning across subjects to encourage a broad, holistic understanding whereby gaps/misconceptions are addressed.

Our teaching is dynamic, engaging, and responsive to individual needs. We use a variety of approaches including discussion, exploration, hands-on activities, and technology to bring learning to life.
Our teachers have resources to deliver engaging lessons facilitating progression.
3
Our Impact:
Ongoing curriculum development
We regularly review our curriculum based on student progress, teacher feedback, and the latest educational research. This ensures our provision remains relevant, innovative, and impactful.
Feedback from parents, students, and staff all play an active role in this continuous improvement process.

Our teachers receive ongoing professional development and leadership support, empowering them to deliver the curriculum with confidence and creativity to adapt to their learner's needs.
